Contact Fulton Records Offices

Fulton County Busted Mugshots is a private reference resource, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, release a person, post bond, or pull an official booking record. Current status and records must come from the Fulton County Sheriff's Office, the appropriate police department, the jail, the Clerk, or the corrections agency that holds the file.

Official Fulton County Contacts

Use the office that created or currently holds the record. The FCSO Open Records page links to the Fulton Open Records Center for booking records and photographs. The online request should identify the person, date, booking or SO number, delivering agency, and facility when known.

Where Each Records Question Goes

These routes keep a police report, jail record, state offender file, court case, and federal custody record from being confused with one another.

  • For a Fulton booking record or photo, use the county booking and records path, then file through the FCSO Open Records Center. A booking-photo request needs the Sheriff's statutory affirmation.
  • For current Fulton custody, start with the FCSO inmate search. It updates once daily and is not a guarantee that every recent booking or release will appear.
  • For a wanted person or a personal warrant question, use the Most Wanted Fugitives and warrant procedures. FCSO does not confirm a subject's warrant status by phone.
  • For a recent booking or release trend, use the official public booking dataset. It contains no documented name or photo field, so it is not a person-level mugshot search.
  • For city police reports, use APD's Open Records Unit at 404-546-7448, South Fulton Records Support Services at 470-809-7300, or the current Sandy Springs P2C and city records route. Each city system answers a different local question.
  • For a sentenced state prisoner, use the Georgia Department of Corrections offender search or GDC Open Records.
  • For federal or immigration custody, use the BOP locator or ICE detainee locator. Those systems are not Fulton County mugshot sources.

For local news and selected reporting, use the Fulton County crime-news page. A story is not a substitute for the originating record.

Request Details to Include

A precise request helps the records custodian find the right file and explain any redaction. Include the person's full name, booking or SO number, approximate booking date, arresting or delivering agency, detention location, and whether the request seeks a record, a photo, or both.

FCSO says the first 15 minutes of employee time are free, ordinary copies are generally $0.10 per page, and ten pages or fewer are not charged under the posted Sheriff policy. The office should respond within three business days when possible or provide an estimate, timetable, or specific exemption reason. The photo affirmation is available from the FCSO booking-photo form.

Do not ask a private reference resource to confirm a release or produce an image. The agency that holds the record must make the disclosure decision.
